Meet Cecilia Ayala and Her Daughter
A Homeowner of a House Renovated by Habitat for Humanity of Collin County
“Gracias por todo el esfuerzo y generosidad para ayudar a nuestra comunidad y personas como yo”
Cecilia was born in Mexico and moved to Frisco for better opportunities.
She is a single mother and is currently working two jobs. She works in the cafeteria for Frisco ISD in the morning and at the Omni Hotel as a waitress in the evenings and weekends. As a result, Cecilia makes sure that children in her community are fed, as well as strangers.
Hailey, Cecilia’s 9-year-old daughter, loves attending school, where she excels. As a matter of fact, she loves school so much, she uses her creativity and plays “school” with her mom! Hailey is the teacher and Cecilia is her student. One of Hailey’s dreams is to have her bedroom on the second floor of their home- where there will be more space to let her imagination and creativity run wild.
Cecilia is most excited to be able to spend more time with her daughter. She says being in this program will give her the chance accomplish this goal, as she will not have to work so much to be able to afford rent.
It’s a dream come true to be able to call a home theirs. Cecilia feels blessed and thankful to God and Habitat for Humanity for this opportunity.
Welcome Home, Cecilia and Hailey!
