New CEO selected to head Collin County Habitat Team

Habitat for Humanity of Collin County has named Stephannie Krunglevich as its next Chief Executive Officer, effective March 16, 2026.

“We look forward to Stephannie leading our current initiatives, working to strengthen our organization’s community partnerships, and working to expand our vision for innovation in home building.”   said Scott Elliott, Board Chair of Habitat for Humanity of Collin County. “With more than a decade of progressive leadership experience in nonprofit and workforce initiatives, she is well positioned to help Habitat increase access to affordable homeownership and strengthen its impact across Collin County’s growing communities.”

Krunglevich brings experience in executive oversight of organizational strategy, fiscal stewardship, fundraising, governance partnership, and program operations. Throughout her career, she has worked closely with board members, local leaders, and community partners to support working families and strengthen the conditions that allow communities to grow and thrive. She believes stable housing is foundational not only to family security, but also to long-term economic vitality.

“Having a safe and affordable place to live provides the foundation families need to move forward,” Krunglevich said. “Strong communities depend on families who are able to put down roots, pursue opportunity, and contribute to the places they call home. I’m honored to work alongside the Habitat team, our board, volunteers, and community partners to expand that opportunity across Collin County.”

Habitat’s current projects include completion of the organization’s first townhome complex, beginning a second set of townhomes, a Spring fundraising campaign centered around Women Build, and the continued growth of McKinney’s strongly-supported Habitat ReStore.

“Our leadership and staff are looking forward to welcoming Stephannie to the Habitat for Humanity of Collin County team,” said Shontia Turner, Director of Operations at the Collin County Habitat affiliate. “Her expertise in strategic execution and building strong community relationships will help solidify our alignment with Habitat’s overall mission, and we are excited to have her guide the future growth of our Affiliate.”
