Habitat for Humanity of Collin County Announces Sale of Building
to Support Future Growth and Expanded Impact
[McKinney, TX - July 8, 2026] - Habitat for Humanity of Collin County today announced the sale of its longtime building located on Couch Drive in McKinney, marking a strategic step forward in advancing its mission to provide affordable housing solutions for families across the county.
After many years of service, the Couch Drive facility, currently home to both the organization’s administrative offices and its ReStore, no longer aligns with Habitat of Collin County’s evolving operational needs. The decision to sell the property reflects a proactive effort to better position the organization for continued growth, improved accessibility, and increased impact in a region where the demand for affordable housing continues to rise.
“This building has been an important part of our history, serving as home to both our administrative team and our ReStore operations,” said Stephannie Krunglevich, CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Collin County. “However, it no longer supports the way we serve our community or the scale at which we need to operate. By selling the Couch Drive property, we are creating an opportunity to invest in spaces that better fit our team, enhance accessibility for the families we serve, and allow us to expand our capacity as the need for affordable housing in our county continues to grow.”
As part of this transition, Habitat Collin County is actively working to identify a new location to house its operations. Leadership is focused on securing space that improves visibility, accessibility, and functionality for staff, volunteers, and community partners.
“We are looking for locations that are more accessible to the communities we serve and that provide the space and flexibility our team needs to grow. As our project volume increases and the demand for affordable housing solutions expands, it is critical that our facilities support our ability to respond,” said Scott Elliott, Board Chair of Habitat for Humanity of Collin County. Habitat for Humanity of Collin County will continue to operate without interruption during this transition and remains committed to its ongoing projects and partnerships throughout the region.
Additional details about future locations for the organization will be shared as they become available.
